Are you practical and enjoy working with vehicles? Then this might be the job for you.

We are now looking for a vehicle reconditioner for the community construction workshop in Skellefteå. Here you will work with vehicle care, reconditioning, and basic maintenance of the municipality's vehicles, such as changing bulbs, refilling windshield washer fluid, or handling minor repairs.

YOUR ROLE

The work is practical and varied. You will work with vehicle care and basic maintenance of the municipality's vehicles, ensuring they are clean and ready for use in operations.

Your tasks include:

• washing and cleaning passenger cars, vans, and other vehicles
• washing garbage trucks
• performing basic maintenance
• transporting vehicles as needed
• driving a car with a trailer

You will mostly work independently with one vehicle at a time, but you will have colleagues around you in the workshop. Sometimes you will work together, for example, when vehicles need to be picked up. The tasks are planned by a supervisor who distributes the day's assignments, providing a clear structure to the work.

Working hours are during weekdays from 07:00 to 16:00, with the possibility of flexible hours.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with experience in vehicle care or other practical work where attention to detail is important. Knowledge of paint reconditioning or polishing is an advantage.

The work is physical and involves being active for large parts of the workday, so you need to enjoy practical work. You take responsibility for your tasks and work independently when needed, while also collaborating well with colleagues in the workshop.

Since the work involves transporting vehicles, you need to have a B driver's license for manual transmission.

You also need to be able to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have basic computer skills to handle simple administrative tasks.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

You will be part of a team of seven people in the community construction workshop. Here you work closely together and help each other when needed, while each person is responsible for their own tasks. Together, you ensure that the municipality's vehicles are ready for use in operations every day. It is practical work where every effort contributes to making everyday life function for both operations and residents in the municipality.
